FEMA’s Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities

The Town of Hermosa is participating in the FEMA Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program to support infrastructure improvements that reduce risk and strengthen long-term reliability. This federal grant program helps fund projects that improve resilience to natural hazards. The Town is working with engineers, contractors, and state and federal partners to advance planning, meet compliance requirements, and incorporate public input throughout the process.

Current efforts include project design, environmental and regulatory review, and coordination with FEMA to meet program milestones. The Town continues to monitor timelines, costs, and scope to ensure successful completion. Updates are provided in public meetings, and residents are encouraged to stay informed and involved as the project progresses.
